Donors Support Our Mission

Connecting People and Nature

Join Our Mailing List

We’re delighted you stopped by and would like to extend a warm invitation to join us in supporting our mission of “Connecting People and Nature.” As a sponsor, your contribution will have a profound impact on our communities. We’re committed to cultivating diverse and vibrant landscapes that benefit both humans and native wildlife.

We’re an all-volunteer 501c3, non-profit located in Ohio. Since we don’t have memberships, we rely on generous donors to help us achieve our mission.

Your support, no matter the amount, will enable us to sustain our events as a vibrant platform for learning, dialogue, and action. Together, we strive to create healthy, aesthetically pleasing, and resilient regional landscapes. The proceeds from these events support conservation initiatives throughout Ohio and our scholarship programs.

Your donation matters in several important ways:

  • Educational Lectures, Forums, and Speaker Events: Education is crucial for understanding the significance of native plants in our landscapes. Native plants form the foundation of the natural world, sustaining our native wildlife. Our goal is to provide a solid understanding of biodiversity, native plants in landscapes, and sustainable garden practices. Given the loss of habitats, outdated garden practices, and misinformation about native plant species, we believe this work is essential.
  • Field Trips: Field trips offer a hands-on experience of the natural world that cannot be replicated in a classroom. Our expert-led field trips provide education, foster an appreciation and understanding of the natural world, and offer a personal and up-close view of how our unique ecosystems function in balance when they are healthy.
  • Conservation: Habitat loss poses the greatest threat to our native wildlife. We recognize that wildlife corridors and the preservation of unique natural areas will vanish if not protected. The donations and proceeds from our events support local conservation efforts.
  • Scholarship Fund: We have two scholarship programs: our White Oak Scholarship program supports young naturalists under the age of 18, while the Cheryl B. Harner Wonder program provides adults over 18 with the opportunity to learn and network to enhance their work or volunteering in a related field. Donations and event proceeds help fund these programs and ensure their continued success.
